Early 19th Century mahogany bowfront chest of drawers of nice proportions, having a lovely crossbanded figured top above four long oak lined, graduated drawers, with oval brass plate handles, shaped apron on the front and sides, supported on splay feet. Circa 1800
In reference to the term oak line that means that all the interior wood, the drawer sides, bottom and back or oak. Any chest or piece of furniture that is outlined as of a far superior quality than if it's pine interiors pine doesn't hold up as well to the years of use.
