This is an Early 19th Century mahogany bowfront chest with very nice proportions, having a lovely cross-banded figured top above four oak lined graduated drawers, with oval brass plate handles, shaped apron on the front and sides, and supported on splay feet. Circa 1800.
Oak lined means that all the interior wood, the drawer sides, bottom and back are made of oak and holds up well to many years of continued use in the home.
