A beautiful 19th century French Louie Phillipe mirror. It features a hand carved leaf design on the edges and a detailed inner border with no missing areas. The mercury glass gives the mirror an eye catching sparkle. Mirrors of this style, named for the French King Louie Phillipe who reigned from 1830 to 1848, are quite versatile and can be beautifully displayed in traditional or contemporary styled rooms. The gold gilt is wearing away in some areas, revealing the red undertone which is an indicator of the mirror’s age. This piece would be a marvelous addition to any room!
